Time for a cup of tea as we cruise by Norfolk Island. Just had to loan a couple of jerry cans of fuel to a fellow rally participant who was running low.
It really looks like the edge of the pool disappears into the horizon…..1000m deep…. wonderful experience!
We’ve been enjoying the flat seas inside the New Caledonia lagoon and even had a great run under parasailor.
Nick from “Libertalia” was able to snap some shots of us flying by the Amedee lighthouse.
…actually, yes we are! Only just over 100nm to go until we drop anchor.
Rohan is enjoying the opportunity to christen the ship guitar.
After a boisterous first 24 hours including squalls to >30knts, the wind and seas have died away to virtually nothing. We have been motoring for about 16 hours now, but for a few hours this morning we had conditions suited to playing with a new (to us) sail. #2 gennaker.
It was fun until the breeze changed directions and flew away…. motoring again now…. sigh….
Only 20 hours or so until we pass through Vanuatu.
