David has been a great crew member. Here he is gazing at NZ and wondering if he’d be better off swimming for shore than waiting the 5 hours until we get to Q-dock….
We’ve had an interesting, and at times a quite trying (and tiring) passage. We expect to be tied up alongside the Opua quarantine dock by 1am Sunday.
We have been welcomed to NZ waters by a pod of orcas this morning…. fantastic!
Looking forward to going for a walk after 7 days of nothing but sitting, sleeping, eating and generally living life on an angle.
Clears up, Uggies on, blankie over the knees…. its tough out here!
Time for a cup of tea as we cruise by Norfolk Island. Just had to loan a couple of jerry cans of fuel to a fellow rally participant who was running low.
It really looks like the edge of the pool disappears into the horizon…..1000m deep…. wonderful experience!
